Bio:
Miller Williams (1930-2015) was a prolific poet, editor, and translator. Founder of the New Orleans Review and founding director of the University of Arkansas Press, Williams is the author or editor of more than thirty books of poetry, criticism, and translations. A native of Arkansas, Williams read his poem “Of History and Hope” at President Bill Clinton’s inaugural ceremony in 1997. He is also the father of Lucinda Williams, the Grammy-award-winning singer/songwriter.
